School Buses

The Las Virgenes Unified School District operates a fee based home to school transportation program for students enrolled in the District’s regular education program. The deadline for application for the Fall 2010 semester is August 20, 2010.

Students who live in areas eligible for service have the opportunity to purchase pupil transportation on a school bus through the City of Westlake Village or the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Listed below is pertinent information for each option.

  1. The City of Westlake Village provides transportation for residents of Westlake Village. Contact the City of Westlake Village (818-706-1613) or visit the website www.wlv.org , and select Directory of City Services, then select Transportation, and then select WLV Transit Schedule and/or WLV Transit Application
  2. Las Virgenes Unified School District provides transportation for students in selected areas. Please click on the following links to obtainFall 2010 Rev4 Bus Schedule,  Fall 2010 Transportation Application, Emergency Transportation Form,  Bus/Shuttle Rules , and Free & Reduced Bus Pass Application.
  3. The City of Calabasas offers a free shuttle bus. Effective January 1, 2009, a peak hour shuttle pass is required by student users. To obtain the application for the free shuttle pass and a schedule of the stops and stop times for the free City of Calabasas shuttle, go to www.cityofcalabasas.com . Click on 'Departments', and then the 'Transportation/Transit' under the Public Works department. Click on 'City Shuttle Routes & Schedules 'to find shuttle routes and schedules, along with the shuttle bus pass application. The routes and schedules can be found under 'City Shuttle Routes & Schedules'. The application for the peak hour shuttle bus pass can be found by clicking 'Shuttle Pass Application for Peak Hour Public Transportation - 2009'. You may also obtain information by calling the City of Calabasas at (818)224-1600.

In addition to the options listed above, a partial bus pass subsidy of 25% of the transportation costs is available for any Calabasas resident who purchases an A.E. Wright Middle School or A.C. Stelle Middle School bus pass. To receive the reimbursement, a parent must complete a reimbursement application which may be obtained from the Calabasas City Hall or at http://www.cityofcalabasas.com/pdf/documents/traffic/Bus-Pass-Application.pdf and attach a copy of the bus pass purchase receipt. To obtain the reimbursement application or for further information about this program, please contact the City of Calabasas at (818)224-1600.

If you are planning on using the Las Virgenes Unified School District transportation, please mail the completed Transportation Application, Emergency Application, and check made out to ‘LVUSD-Transportation’ for the correct amount, along with a self-address stamped envelope to LVUSD District Office, 4111 N. Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas CA 91302.

For your convenience, forms are also located in the LVUSD District Office Main Lobby.

Directions to the District Office: One mile south of the 101 freeway. Take the Las Virgenes/Malibu exit south towards the ocean. The building is located on the right (west) side of the street, at 4111 N. Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas, next to A.E. Wright Middle School.

Bus passes will be mailed to the student’s home address within 7-10 days after receipt of the complete application package described above.

REFUNDS WILL ONLY BE GIVEN:

  • During the first two weeks of each semester

  • If your child is no longer attending school in the Las Virgenes Unified School District.
